Plan K
100% coverage for Part A Hospitalization coinsurance plus coverage for 365 days after Medicare benefits end. 
50% Hospice out-of-pocket cost sharing.

50% Part B coinsurance, except for preventive care services, 100%.
50% Skilled Nursing Facility coinsurance. 
50% Medicare Part A deductibles.
$4,621 out-of-pocket annual limit (increases each year for inflation).

100% coverage for Part A Coinsurance & Medigap coverage for hospital benefits.
75% Hospice out-of-pocket cost sharing.

75% Part B coinsurance, Note: preventive care services are covered 100%.

Plan N
Similar benefits to Plan F. Pays for Part B deductible but with a $20 copay for doctor visits and $50 for ER,
Pays for NO Part B excess charges.

Plan A, The Basic Benefits

Medigap Plan B through N

Plan A Coverage 
Is Included In All 10 Plans
Medicare Part A pays for hospitalizations for the 1st 60 days but only pays a portion of the daily costs from the 61st day through the 150th day.  You remain responsible for payment of the coinsurance amounts for those days.  
Medigap Plan A includes payments for the coinsurance amount of the above 150 days plus provides an additional 365 lifetime days.  
Medicare will pay for blood "after" the first 3 pints per calendar year.  You will need to pay for the 1st 3 pints. 
Medigap Plan A pays for the first three pints of blood not paid for by Medicare. 
Medical Expenses:
Medicare Part B, in most cases, pays for 80% of a set amount (the "Medicare approved" amount) for individual procedures, supplies, or service billed by a doctor or other provider that is not a hospital. 
Medigap Plan A pays the coinsurance (generally 20% of the "Medicare approved" amount) under Medicare Part B.
Note the definitions of deductible & co-insurance
Deductible - must be paid before medicare activates.
Co-insurance - After deductible and paid in addition to medicare coverage to provide 100% payment.


There are seven additional Medicare Supplement benefits that are combined with the basic benefits in various ways to make up Plans B - N. Prescription drugs are not included in any.

Part A Deductible
This is the expense you must pay when you are admitted to a hospital as an inpatient. Not covered by medicare.
Medigap Policies B -N reimburse you the deductible amount, Plans K & M 50%, Plan L 75%, the rest 100%.
Skilled Nursing Coinsurance:
Medicare Part A pays to the first 20 days of care following hospitalization but requires you to pay coinsurance beginning on the 21st day  through the 100th day.
This benefit pays the coinsurnace amount beginning on the 21st day. Plans K & M, 50%, Plan L, &5% and Plans C - N, 100%
Part B Deductible
This is what you must pay for medical expenses such as doctor fees before Medicare begins paying.  
Medigap plans C and F will reimburse you the deductible.
Part B Excess Charges
Medicare Part B pays 80% of a pre-determined amount for each procedure provided by our doctor.  Sometimes doctors charge more that what Medicare will cover.
Part B Excess Charges 100% will pay  the full amount billed by your doctor. Found in Medigap Plans F and G.
Foreign Travel Emergency
The original medicare plan provides no coverage outside of the USA.
This Medigap benefit will pay 80% of your expense for most emergency medical care in a foreign country. during the 1st 60 days of a trip after a small deductible.  Check with me for up to date amounts! Found in Plans C, D, F, G, M & N.
